Tros Yr Afon is a peacefully set cluster of stylish holiday homes: a 17th-century manor house with a courtyard of cottages and converted barns and stables, surrounded by six acres of gardens and trees. Accommodation runs from a studio for two up to the manor itself, sleeping eighteen.
The Menai Strait and its rocky headlands — seabird breeding grounds, puffins included — are within walking distance; Penmon’s 13th-century priory and dovecote and the stony beach facing the lighthouse and Puffin Island are minutes away; and Llanddona’s five-mile sandy beach is a short drive.
